The Gite was booked in 2019 for the summer 2020. Due to the pandemic are flights to near by Bordeaux airport were cancelled. Mark and Sandra, the host were extremely understanding and helpful. With their assistance and patients were were able to book a month later in August. The Gite, despite is countryside location is extremely easy to find and that’s from a first time French road driver taking a little over an hour from the airport. (Be mindful for toll roads if this is your first time. During are stay where we travelled we learnt that the alternative to a toll route doesn’t actually add to a journey time) Again our arrival due to flight times was early hours in the morning, Mark was still able to great us outside. (Apologies Mark ☺️) Going straight to bed we awoke to some welcome goodies that really got us through the morning. The Gite is In pristine condition with everything catered for. We travelled with our six children from one to teenage years. There were plentiful of crockery and plastics for the kids. If your reading this you’ve probably already seen the website or social media pages so I won’t describe the layout. I will list the factors that I feel important Comfortable living accommodations ✅ Comfortable clean beds ✅ Clean kitchen toilet and bathrooms ✅ Good WiFi throughout ✅ Clean secure grounds ✅ Hot water ✅ Clean pool ✅ Clean grounds ✅ Good grocery shopping nearby ✅ Hosts available for any assistance/information ✅ We’d like to thank both Mark,Sandra, daisy the dog and the foster kittens and hope to see them again in the future.

We stayed at Vacheroy in July 2019. Our group was made up of 5 adults and 2 children. Before arriving Mark and Sandra were very helpful and sent lots of useful information regarding the gite, places to visit, restaurants and the surrounding area. On arrival we were wowed by the property. It was absolutely beautiful. The gite has been decorated and furnished to a high standard but maintains lovely original features. It is an good size and the kids loved their little den upstairs! It was immaculate inside and the garden and outside area were well looked after and looked beautiful. The pool was fantastic and an absolute god send in the heat we had whilst there. Mark and Sandra were very approachable and gave us lots of useful information and great recommendations. Chez Gigi in particular! They are excellent hosts and always on hand to help with any issues. Great company whilst having an evening beverage too! We can’t recommend Vacheroy highly enough and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you again Mark and Sandra.

Just returning from a 2 week holiday, staying at Vacheroy Gite, unexpectedly this was our 2nd visit this summer and Mark and Sandra were so helpful in accepting us at short notice. The Gite is so spacious and decorated so beautifully so you can’t help but relax. The kitchen etc is so well equipped. The pool and gardens are so well kept and are the perfect place to cool down in the hot sun. Mark and Sandra are so helpful giving ideas of great local places to visit and restaurants to go to. The Gite is so well located less than an hour from Bordeaux airport and within an hour of so many great places to visit including Cognac, St Emillion and many others. Daisy their dog is so lovely too! We really enjoyed having her around. Overall a fantastic place to stay and superb place to visit! We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and will be coming back.
